It’s 4:13am on Friday morning, March 29, 2019. My wife Lindsey and I attended deputy Ryan Thompson’s memorial service yesterday and saw one of the most profound displays of honor I have ever witnessed.
Police, Fire and first responders from all over the state were in attendance, contributing to an incredible ceremony for Ryan and his family.
Many tears began to flow as I heard the stories of how Ryan’s life so beautifully impactful his family, friends, and community. What a profound and powerful moment.
Then, clarity hit me: In a moment, I could be gone just as quickly.
Our lives are a story. It’s not how it starts, or even what we do in the middle, but rather how the story ends that really matters. It’s the memories we make, and who we become along this journey.
A close family friend was sharing how Ryan would say: “It’s going to be okay.” When everything seems to be falling apart, these are the words of ultimate confidence, warmth, and strength: a hero telling you it’s going to be ok.
Your policy purchase will help support Ryan’s family
To honor Ryan’s spirit of support, LIG will be dedicating 5% of all revenue for the month of April to the immediate family members survived by his unfortunate passing.
But we’re not stopping there, we’re also supporting officer Chavez in this time of need from our efforts this month.
LIG helps you ease the burden of indirect medical costs that insurance won’t cover. If that’s something you need, your purchase of a policy will help support the Thompson and Chavez families directly.
If you’re a current client, it may be time for a review. Many of Family Heritage’s policies have seen new features/benefits added since your original purchase. Please consider upgrading to a better policy at the same or very similar price as what you have now.
If you’ve been considering a purchase but haven’t got around to it yet, now is the perfect time to cover a hero’s family at the same time you cover your own.

It really is my honor to serve you and the members of our community. Thank you.
